Malaysia is mediator in the Thailand-Cambodia border conflict

Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamed Hassan said that his country is ready to act as a mediator in the Thailand-Cambodia border conflict.

Accordingly, the prime ministers of Thailand and Cambodia are scheduled to hold talks in Malaysia today (28).

Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to a ceasefire, US President Donald Trump said yesterday (27) morning.

He said that an agreement was reached in telephone conversations with the leaders of the two countries.

However, although the leaders of both countries have expressed their gratitude for it, Thailand has said that it is not ready to stop military operations.

So far, 33 people have died and more than 200,000 have been displaced due to the conflict.
